I'm Amy, I have almost 5 years of experience as digital designer in both the tech and fashion industries. I’m a passionate creative and always knew I would have a career in design. Believing there is more to design than creating aesthetically pleasing work, I pivoted my career from the fashion industry to the tech industry. UX design solves real world problems and requires real empathy to ensure all users have access to a digital product.

I have worked closely with product and account managers to create mobile apps that clients are proud of and delight end users.

I currently work as a product designer at Yoyo, a Cape Town based loyalty and rewards app company, focusing in UI design and revisions. I also assist with graphic design and branding internally within the company.

Outside of work you can find me illustrating, collecting plants and decor, jogging or catching up with friends. I have a background in fashion design and enjoy expressing myself though it. I keep up with design and illustration trends through fashion as it keeps my art direction fresh.
